10 Days & 9 Nights Trip in Northern Pakistan (Skardu and Hunza)

Our representative will welcome you at Islamabad International Airport and transfer to our designated hotel in Islamabad for an overnight stay.

After breakfast at 7am, we will head to Islamabad airport to catch a PIA flight to Skardu valley. Note: In case of flight cancellation, we will move to Chilas by road (~12-14 hours drive) and stay overnight there.

After an early breakfast at the hotel, we will set out to explore the famous and beautiful Kachura Village. Upper Kachura is known for its incredible landscape. We can relax at Upper Kachura Lake for some time to snap some pictures before moving towards Lower Kachura where you will see the famous Shangri-La resort on the bank of Lower Kachura Lake. You may choose to take a boat ride at Lower Kachura Lake (at your own additional expenses). We will take our lunch at Tibet Hotel at Lower Kachura Lake before moving towards Centre Skardu City to check into the hotel. In the evening, we will visit the ancient Kharpocho Fort, perched atop a mountain. It is renowned for its architecture and breathtaking views of the surrounding valley. Note: In the event of flight cancellation, we will continue our journey by road from Chilas to Skardu (~5 hours drive). There will be enough time to complete all the above activities in Kachura Village.

Shigar Valley & Sarfaranga Desert Explore how olden day people used to live in Shigar Valley. Embark on a captivating journey through time by visiting the incredible Shigar Fort and Amburiq mosque, both with history dating back hundreds of years. After lunch, we will move to Sarfaranga – a wondrous cold desert! Opt for a jeep safari experience (at your own additional expenses). On the way back to central Skardu, we will visit an organic village built to preserve the natural way of life.

Set off for Hunza Valley from Skardu, with short stops along the way for photography. Expected travel time on the road is 7 hours.

Hunza Valley Explore Ganish Village, the oldest and first settlement on the ancient Silk Road in Hunza Valley with 1000 years of history. Visit both Altit and Baltit forts, home to the former royal family of Hunza. In the evening, we will take a drive up to Duiker Hill. After a short hike, you will be treated to a stunning view of the sunset over Rakaposhi, Golden Peak, Diran, Lady Finger and Ultar peaks. Enjoy a special dinner of traditional food at a local Hunza family home, accompanied with live music.

Travel towards Passu Valley. Some attractions to be visited: •Attabad Lake and the Attabad Tunnels (you may enjoy boating activities at the lake at your own additional expenses) •Hopper Valley at Nagar •Hussaini Suspension Bridge •Passu Cones and Passu Village •Viewpoints of Passu and Batura Glacier •Gulmit Carpet Centre (women-run carpet weaving centre)

We will continue our drive on the Karakoram Highway. Some attractions to be visited: •Gulmit and Khyber Villages •Sost Bazaar •Khunjerab Pass (Pakistan-China Border) – World’s highest international border crossing. We will drive back to Passu for an overnight stay.

On this day, we will set off for Besham city, and stop along the way at some beautiful viewpoints for photography.

After breakfast, we will move towards Islamabad. If time permits, we will visit Faisal Mosque before dropping you off at Islamabad International Airport for your flight home.
